SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR CIRCUS OF THE SHATTERED MONKEY
Are you monkey enough?
Cirqu du Singe Brisé is growing at a rapid pace and moving more toward its goal of becoming a new music source and musician's resource. Our journeys are starting to happen more often and the venues are gettingnicer. Most importantly, we have been attracting as of late phenominal talent and the press keeps on coming.
We really want to start making our show home base for a select group of performers. These people are the same ones that have contributed greatly to our growth by spreading the word about us, bringing forth memorable performances and most of all saying "no" to our enemy "Negative Artistic Attitude." Wih every exécution we stage, we always hope to find new faces to bring on board.
If you are selected to join us, your first stint will be your audition. If we invite you back that means something. Artists that do make it into our cast get the perks of the best slots at the best gigs wherever they may be, promotional opportunities and whatever other ideas our producer conjures up.
So, if you think you're monkey enough, the way for everyone to start is by sending your CD and/or live footage along with a $10.00 submissiom fee. Submissions are to be sent in the form of check or MO made out to Nemesis Media and mailed to:

If you're selected this will be a one time fee that's a big step toward putting you in our loop of great talent. Whether you're selected to our event or not, we want to make you aware that your contribution is needed and appreciated.

ALL OTHER PERFORMERS:
We are called a circus and it is time for us to start appearing more as one. We are looking for mimes, magicians, midgets and all types of offbeat entertainers and, dare we say freaks, to mingle with our audiences during shows and stand outside the door to lure people in. This can be a high exposure experience with money potential as well.
All interested performers need to send in a bio, photo and video footage of their routine.

MUSIC:
We focus on presenting an array of non-mainstream sounding styles and are always on a quest for finding the really obscure. We welcome solid singer/songwriters, anti-folk, jam oriented acts, experimental, indie sounds ranging from Bright Eyes - The Mars Volta, Americana, jazz, percussion groups, Cajun, Celtic, bluegrass, world and, basically, anything that's different from the current sound du joure.
The way our show works is if you impress us in your hometown, you get to join us in other cities.
Submissions are to be sent with a bio and CD sampling of your work. CDR's are perfectly fine and live material is always a plus. Video footage would help too.

POETRY/SPOKEN WORD ARTISTS
There are no odes to pretty flowers here!
We're looking for writers that have something to say and say it in a way that makes their words rise off the pages. If you've seen our show, then you had to of noticed our ringmaster Joseph Bellamy do his spoken word thing and he's right on with what we're looking for in that department. We also welcome poets and storytellers.
Anyone looking to submit material needs to send in at maximum three typed pieces along with either an audio recording or video (preferred) of you reading at least one of them.

FILM/VIDEO ART:
We are currently and unfortunately on hiatus with presenting any sort of visual art. The reason is because we have no one motivated enough to properly run that aspect- our producer is too busy having fun listening to CD's. If there is any video artist out there that's interested in taking on the task, then there is a fantastic networlking and money making opportunity waiting for you at the Circus.
